This policy explains how Seaway Holiday Lights, a lighting business based in Cornwall, Ontario, handles personal information relating to website inquiries and our lighting services. Wayne, the business owner, handles privacy questions at [email protected].
Our quote form collects your name, email address, property street address, town or city, postal code and requested lighting service. Phone number, preferred timing and areas to light are optional. You do not need to send photos to request a quote.
If we discuss or carry out a project, our records may also include messages, agreed rooflines, installation details, quotes, invoices, payment status and service or warranty requests. Please avoid sending sensitive information that is not needed for your inquiry.
We use these details to respond to you, review your property and lighting needs, prepare and follow up on quotes, and arrange agreed services. For customers, we also use relevant records to manage scheduling, billing, payments and after-installation support. We may review available property imagery or arrange a visit to assess the work.
A quote request does not book an installation or provide consent to unrelated marketing. We confirm the scope, price and schedule with you separately.
We use GoHighLevel for our website forms, customer records and communications, and Google Workspace for business email. For customer jobs, relevant billing information may also be processed by our accounting and payment providers. People helping us deliver your agreed service may need relevant contact, property and job details.
Service providers may process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws and lawful access by authorities. You can contact us with questions about the providers involved in your request. We may disclose information when legally required.
Website hosting and form-security services may process technical information such as IP address, browser or device details and request logs to deliver the site and help prevent abuse. Our form uses Cloudflare Turnstile verification. The form's save-progress feature is enabled and may retain information you enter so you can resume it. Our website and embedded services may use cookies or similar browser storage for functionality, security and platform measurement. You can manage cookies and site storage through your browser settings; restricting them may affect how the form works.
For quote inquiries that do not become customer jobs, our retention period is two years after the last meaningful contact about the inquiry. At that point, we review the record and remove or anonymize information no longer needed. Automated messages alone do not restart this period. Customer invoices, completed-job details and warranty records follow separate retention requirements based on ongoing services, applicable recordkeeping obligations and any unresolved disputes. Access should be limited to people who need it for their work. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request access or correction, ask us to stop quote follow-up, or request deletion or withdrawal of consent. Email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before releasing or changing records.
Some records may need to be retained for legal or contractual reasons. Withdrawing information needed for a service may limit our ability to provide it; we will explain any relevant consequences.
